What opportunities does urbanisation present for people living in African cities? How much does it really contribute to the economy? And what wider advantages can it have for rural dwellers?
These were some of the core questions explored in our recent webinar with Philipp Heinrigs, head of unit at the OECD and co-author of Africa’s Urbanisation Dynamics 2022. Chaired by ACRC’s CEO Diana Mitlin, the session began with Philipp presenting key findings from the report, followed by reflections from Kunal Sen, director of UNU-WIDER, and a lively discussion with both online and in-person participants.
If you missed it, you can catch up on the presentations from Philipp and Kunal below.
